Welcome to Capable Hearts (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Capable Hearts provides a platform (the “Service”) to help adults 18+ with developmental disabilities connect with peers in a safe, respectful environment. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
Safety and meetups: While Capable Hearts offers safety guidelines, moderation, and resources to support safe connections, you are responsible for your own safety when using the Service and for any in-person meetings or events arranged through Capable Hearts. Capable Hearts does not guarantee the safety of meetups or events. We encourage safe, public meeting practices and recommend involving trusted people as needed.
2) Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to use Capable Hearts.
You must have a developmental disability. Verification may be used to enable certain features, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed.
3) Account Registration and Security
You may need to create an account with a username, password, and profile information. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activities that occur under your account. You must promptly notify us of any suspected breach or unauthorized use.
4) Acceptable Use and Conduct
Respect others: treat all users with kindness and without discrimination. No harassment, exploitation, harassment, bullying, or threats. No sharing of explicit content, illegal activities, or dangerous instructions. Do not impersonate others or misrepresent yourself. Respect privacy: do not share someone else’s personal information without consent. Safety: follow in-app guidelines for meetings, online interactions, and reporting concerns.
5) Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you create (e.g., messages you post), but you grant Capable Hearts a license to use it to operate and improve the Service. You may not post content that is illegal, harmful, or violates someone else’s rights. Capable Hearts may remove or block content that violates these Terms or is inappropriate or unsafe. Trademarks, logos, and platform design are owned by Capable Hearts or its licensors.
6) Disability Verification
See Privacy Policy for how disability verification data is handled. Verification may be used to enable eligibility for disability-based matching and safer introductions. Verification data is processed in accordance with applicable privacy laws and our internal policies.
7) Safety, Moderation, and Reporting
We enforce rules and maintain a safe environment.
You can report concerns or violations through in-app tools, email, or other provided channels.
We may take actions on accounts or content, including warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent termination, for violations or safety concerns.
8) Privacy and Data Handling
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and your rights.You agree to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy and understand that data may be retained or disclosed as required by law.

Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Capable Hearts is not responsible for third-party practices.

All payments are processed by our payment processors, and refunds are subject to their policies
